Campfire Tales sparks community and conversation through storytelling.
Submission Deadline: Friday, June 12, 2026
Loss, grief, and death are difficult realities, and we honor that deeply. But once the dust settles, there can also be humor, perspective, and an appreciation for the strange, absurd experience of being human, and we’re here to have a conversation about it.
Campfire Tales is looking for six storytellers to share funny, heartfelt, and mostly true stories about death and dying for a special outdoor evening event.
To pitch your story, fill out the form below with a 200–300 word summary that gives us:
The arc of your story (beginning, middle, and end)
The central takeaway or idea
A clear sense of your voice and tone
Length: Max 7 minutes.
Format: Told in the first person, rooted in your lived experience, and mostly true.
Style: Suitable for a live audience. Notes, props, or reading directly from a written script are all welcome.
June 12: Submissions close.
June 14: The top 6 submissions will be read aloud live at the regular Campfire Tales show, where the audience will select the final July 18 lineup.
Rehearsals: If your story is chosen, we ask that you are available for 1–2 live rehearsals / readings with the producers before the final performance.
Submit via email EMAIL SUBMISSION FORM
Or fill out the form - no fee required.
