Our Story is our greatest asset
It’s how we connect, build trust, and communicate value.
Learning to articulate who you are strengthens confidence and creates genuine alignment between you and your audience.
MY Personal STORy
One of my childhood homes
I didn’t always have a voice.
My parents divorced when I was four and headed in completely different directions, playing tug-of-war with my brother and me.
My dad was a blue-collar innovator who built things with his hands. He lived off the grid on the wild Northern California coast — practical, resourceful, brilliant, and reclusive.
My mom was a city girl with a trust fund, who settled in a beautiful flat in San Francisco with sweeping views of the Golden Gate Bridge.
I grew up in both worlds.
-
Private schools and one-room trailers. Fancy restaurants or leftovers heated on wood stoves, hand-me-downs and thrift store Christmas or brand new shiny boxes and sweaters that itched.
This dichotomy was a lesson in constant adaptation — and it was hard.
For years I saw the world from the outside, not knowing where to stand, how to hold my hands, which people were my people.
I was bold and brash, and quiet and shy.
I didn’t know the rules because they were constantly changing.I learned to speak up and speak clearly, thank you, Toastmasters. I found my footing (and where to stand) by telling my own story, exploring my history out loud, and realizing communication was my way to real, viable connections.
Speaking as an artist, a storyteller, a founder, and a more confident woman, I found my people.I discovered that clarity builds confidence, and confidence builds connection.
This is what I am most passionate about- helping others find their voices, define their message, and communicate who they are, honestly and authentically.Because communicating who we are is our greatest currency.

MY Business STORy
-
My Work
For more than twenty years, I’ve lived an entrepreneurial life.
I’ve worked as a professional artist, selling my work across the country, in galleries, retail stores, and at top-tier shows.
-
I’ve also owned and operated several small businesses in the Portland area.I know what it’s like to be the Chief Storyteller, the Chief Sales Officer, and the Chief Everything Else — all at once.
Over the years, I’ve mentored artists and creative entrepreneurs on everything from website copy and product photography to logos, bios, and branding.
In the early days of Etsy, I taught marketing and communication to a new generation of makers finding their voice.Through all of it — the building, refining, and listening — I learned something simple but powerful:
people connect most when you can clearly articulate what drives you.Now I help others do the same — to talk about who they are and what they do in ways that build confidence, trust, and real connection.
I bring that experience directly to you.
I’m a Communication Specialist, helping individuals and small business owners express themselves with clarity, purpose, and authenticity.Because the goal isn’t just better words,
it’s telling your story, better. -
