Why Personal Stories?

At Campfire Tales, we believe everyone has a story worth sharing.

When we learn to share who we are out loud, we begin to make sense of our lives. We better understand where we’ve been, what has shaped us, and what matters most. In the process, storytelling builds confidence, self-acceptance, and a stronger sense of belonging.

Humanity and lived experience are the threads that build community. The details may be different, but the emotions are universal. Storytelling reminds us that we are far more alike than we are different.

A Note from Our Founder

“Learning to tell my own story changed how I saw myself.

As I began talking about my life out loud, I realized I had stories worth telling. I began to see myself more clearly, and I started to recognize parts of my own experience in the stories of others.

As storytellers, we give people permission to be imperfect, messy, beautifully human, and to show up anyway. I want everyone to feel welcome to share who they are and experience that validating moment when they realize they are not alone and perfect in all their imperfections.

This is the essence of Campfire Tales and I am really glad it exists.”
